Blistex Soothing Splash Liquid Lip Moisturizer

I have used Blistex lip balms before and totally loved them.. they have an amazing range of lip moisturizers.. and when i ran out of lip balm (who runs outta lip balm??!!) I wanted to try something different so i bought this one. 

Its a super cute little tube. So tiny! Fits into a coin purse. Very handy. Its a roller type applicator which i love.. its easy to use and no digging your fingers into the lip balm and all that. Totally glides onto the lips and spreads loads of product making the lip shine.

The roller ball is really nice since its metal! Its always cool and gives you this instant splash of freshness even during the HOT HOT DAYS! You feel the coolness on your lips.. sometimes cool and sometimes ice cold. Love that!

Scent:

Smells like sweet mint. Polo? Yes smells just like that.

Shine:

It gives this beautiful splash of shine! Super glossy and shiny. If you dont like shiny lips.. please run away from this one. This is only for ladies who love glossy and shiny lips. Comes on clear.

Moisture & Nourishment:

The main attraction in this liquid moisturizer is actually the coolness that it gives to your lips. During the hot hot days.. you feel so warm and sweaty and then you can use these rollers on your lips to give it a SPLASH of coolness. How awesome is that! But if we are taking about moisture.. i must admit there is no moisturization or nourishment of any sort. It doesnt really work as a moisturizing or treating lip product. If you are looking for something that would have to treat dry or chapped lips then this is NOT for product for you.. dont expect it to make your chapped lips heal.

So..

I bought this product mainly for treating my lips and keeping it soft but ofcourse it did NOTHING to my lips.. but i still keeping using this all the time because i love love love the coolness it gives to my lips. I keep it in a cool place and then use it on my lips. Its so refreshing and cool! If you are looking for something to re freshen your lips - Yes try this! If you are looking for a good lip moisturizer? Run away!

Why are you always talking about hand creams for God's sake?! Yes see i can hear you.. i definitely can. Am i really talking too much of hand creams? Well im thinking too much of them lately. You would have seen my review of The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector. I love it! Totally! BUT The Body Shop doesnt come so cheap and also for someone like me who finishes up hand cream like ice cream (no i dont like ice cream but its kinda rhymes so i had to put that in there somewhere hehe) ok not ice cream.. like jelly beans.. like hot sauce.. i CAN NOT always buy The Body Shop can i? I need to look for more options for day time moisturization. So i got this one. 

Texture:

A thin lotion like texture. Absorbs very soon. Most ideal for day time use. Doesnt leave any grease or oiliness. 

Scent:

Warm and comforting like a toffee. If you are familiar with shea butter scents.. this is a warm version. I like it.. its not too much but its there. Stays on for long.. the scent is there everytime i bring my hands near my nose. Even after washing my hands. Not strong but light and long lasting.

So.. 

When i first used this cream.. i didnt like it.. i felt it was not moisturizing.. it just got absorbed so fast. Didnt make my hands soft or smooth. It just went on and disappeared. But after using it for days i realised it works.. it repairs your hands and you do feel your hands are more softer and smoother and less dry. Its a really good hand cream if you want to treat your hands.. if you want to fix it. BUT does not provide adequate moisture at the very moment you apply it. I have been using this for weeks now and i like the long term effect. If you got normal skin and want something light.. you can give this a try! Or if you got patience to wait and see results yes go for it!

Magnetizing Jasmine Refreshing Body Mist from United Colors of Benetton

Did you know that they had body mists? Well i didnt. Anyways this is a clean transparent bottle filled up with light lilac body mist. Looks super cute and inviting. Very fresh looking.

Scent:

Its not the usual jasmine scent that you would imagine. For my brain its almost non jasmine! I cant find any jasmine anywhere. But then again its a beautiful floral scent. The bottle doesnt have details about the notes but this is kinda interesting dont you think?

Honestly the whole Nile riverside effect is totally lost on me. LOL! Maybe i just lack imagination. Yeah? Sitting here in my bedroom and trying to figure out this scent. I do admit that its lovely.. beautiful.. sweeps through me with a floral breeze. SOFT and floral. Yes i think a bit of magnetizing effect in here and a lot of freshness. 

So..

A beautiful modern floral scent.. fresh and uplifting. Staying power is not great.. it stays on for an hour or two at most.. something you might want to try out during the summer for some floral ness!

White Jasmine Hand and Body Milk from Spa Ceylon Ayurveda [Review and List of Winners]

This review was a very much requested one! Loads of readers asked me how good it is.. did i use it.. Does it lighten the skin.. whats so special bla bla bla. So finally decided to post the review and hope it answers all your questions. First of all this one is from Spa Ceylon's WHITE RANGE which aims at lightening and brightening skin tone. I got this product from the gift set which was reviewed HERE. Its a really pretty set so you definitely would want to have a look at that.

My thoughts on the WHITE RANGE:

There was a bit of confusion on this range.. many ladies were saying they didnt want to WHITEN their skin.. they dont believe in WHITE. Yes ofcourse i dont believe in WHITENING myself. Its obvious you can NOT whiten your skin tone further than what you were born with. So this range just helps you maintain what you already got and yes if you got a bit of sun damage and a bit of skin darkening.. yes it is supposed to help whiten and lighten. So its all about maintaining and keep your skin healthy. No harmful chemicals or bleach in here.. no mercury so there is no scary talk about 4 shades lighteR in 4 weeks.. become snow white in 4 days etc. No scary outrageous claims and no silliness.

Scent:

Jasmines! Its a beautiful scent of jasmines along with other subtle scents which come out a bit floury. If you know what i mean. Its light and beautiful. Nothing strong.. no headache of too much jasmines. Its simple yet flowery. Stays on for hours and makes you feel really fresh and scented up!

Texture:

Very creamy! It says body milk but the texture is that of a thick cream. Really thick.. takes a little time to get absorbed into the skin. It leaves a white cast sometimes.. so i always keep massaging the cream into the skin to avoid this.

Does it really work?

GOOD QUESTION! For a cream to work at its best you got to use it every day and for a couple of months atleast. Since its natural ingredients and all that.. it may take time to show results. I am a super lazy girl who rotates her creams as per her moods. I havent used it enough to be sure if it works or not. But in between this rotating and using.. i have used up 3/4 of the bottle and would love to use another one too. Though you might not notice.. it moisturizes well and leaves skin soft for quite a long time.

So..

A lovely scented lotion full of natural ingredients.. perfect for jasmine lovers and if you are looking for some skin lightening.. you can try this out. Im not sure if it lightens your skin but it moisturisers well and smells divine.

The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector

There were days when i never owned a hand cream.. there were days when everyone around me used to talk about dry hands.. brittle nails while i was busy reading study books and wondering what the fuss was all about?! Dry hands? I didnt ever have to deal with that misfortune.. i was blessed with beautiful super soft hands. I was never worried about them.. didnt give it a second thought and yes i was ever ready to shake hands and make a new friend. Well.. that was like maybe 10 years ago? 8? 5? Seems like ages. And now? Here i am looking for good hand creams.. checking for ingredients.. wondering what works best.. wondering if detergents are doing the harm.. too much of typing? sun damage? OR AM I JUST GROWING OLD! OMG! haha.. i dont mean to sound so scary but trust me.. dry hands? It is scary.. super annoying and something you would NOT want to deal with. I know you are happily looking at your beautiful hands and sighing 'THANK GOD' but i have to tell you.. if you are not going to look after your hands.. you will be feeling just like i am now. Ok maybe i am being a little too dramatic? Ok.. well actually the harsh weather.. household chores and YES i am growing old. LOL. These factors really effect hands.. and i had to find the BESTESTEST hand cream on this earth to deal with my situation.. and did i? Maybe not the BESTESTEST but Yes the best hand cream i have ever used is here below:

I did try a couple of hand creams before but just for review purposes.. i see something nice and want to try it. I wanted to use something nice smelling on my hands. Those were the reasons for buying the few hand creams i had owned. Then one day.. i just realised my hands were getting drier by the day.. a few painful spots.. and i am horrified. No handshakes everybody.. especially for Mr. Husband. Who kinda teased me saying my finger prints were all fading away. He was trying to be funny actually but the next day we were at The Body Shop at City Center looking at hand creams. Mr. Husband hates this sort of shopping but the punishment for commenting on my fingerprints were - Find me a good hand cream NOW. HAHA! So we ended up coming home holding 2 lovely hand creams from The Body Shop. This one and the Almond hand and nail cream which i will write about very soon. (THE SCENT IS SO DREAMY AWESOME) I didnt know which to choose. So i bought one for the day and one for night time. The Hemp Hand Protector is for night time obviously.

Texture:

The texture of this cream is really thick and super creamy. Takes a little time to absorbed but it gets absorbed well and doesnt feel greasy at all. Your hands feel instantly soft and super moisturized!

Scent:

A VERY medicine like scent.. not something you will love or fall in love with but its ok i guess.. you definitely might not hate it. Its not unbearable or anything. Its just that it is not girly or feminine in any way.

So.. 

An amazing hand cream perfect for REALLY dry hands.. or if you want something good for your hands at night. Do try this out.. you will love it for sure. And yeah i wish it had a better scent but it doesnt really bother me much. So ladies remember start using your hand creams early so that you dont wake up one fine morning and totally freak out (like i did!).
