The Nature's Co. Lemon Peel Exfoliating Body Wash

During the really hot summers is when i try to buy the most refreshing body washes and scrubs i can find. Honestly its not that easy sometimes. Since im a lover of fruity scents i always go fruits! The most refreshing for summer is obviously LEMON! God!! LEMONS are amazinggggggggggggggggggggg! And here i have a really lovely lemony body wash!

Scent:

Has a lovely scent of lemon peel! Its not the weird artificial kind but the REAL SCENT! Yummy! smells so fresh. My bathroom is like lemon heaven! :-)

Texture:

Its the usual gel kind wash and has kiwi seeds and walnut grits for mild exfoliation.

Does it work well?

It cleans skin really well, does NOT dry it. As far as exfoliation is concerned.. i would say its REALLY mild. The kiwi seeds do nothing actually.. i think its just a cute addition to the gel but the walnut grits work as a mild exfoliator. Mild as in REAL MILD. So dont try to substitute this product in place of your body scrub. It just provides really mild exfoliation for daily use. This bodywash is perfect for everyday use during the summers.

How refreshing is it?

Its not a burst of freshness.. like you feel as if you instantly freshened up. But it calms down your senses.. cleans you well and gives you this 'YAY IM NOT SWEATY ANYMORE' kinda feeling! And you feel fresh and smell like lemon heaven!

Will i reccomend?

Its a natural product made out of natural ingredients which i love! Perfect for summer mornings and afternoons! A definite must try product!

Spa Ceylon Ayurveda Sleep Therapy Luxury Home Spa Set

Yay! I got this amazing spa set from Spa Ayurveda and i cant wait to let you see it!! I still havent really tried anything as yet so lets just have a quick look. Shall we?!

Thats the gift box that it came in! So elegant looking.. jet black and really interesting. My picture is kinda making the box look a bit whitish. Thats because of the climate.. its really dark and gloomy here in Colombo so its not exactly photo friendly. 

Now that was a pleasant surprise! I really didnt expect a pretty pink and purple straw pouch to be in there! Looks like someone (who else lucky ME) just got the cutest makeup pouch EVER! Yay! The packaging is truly amazing! The box and this pouch. I think it will make a really nice gift to someone special. 

Those are the lovely goodies inside! I dont know if you know this but im a Sri Lankan Girl :-) I come from a background filled with tea, spices, herbs and yeah beautiful elephants!! So im really so excited to review these products since they are inspired by centuries old Royal well-being rituals performed in the grand palaces of ancient Ceylon.

This set is something i really need at this time because i am having loads of trouble getting some sleep!!!! You know the heathly kind of sleep.. i stay awake really late in the nights with Mr. Baby and when its finally time for me to go to bed.. its like soo late and im so tired that i cant fall asleep!! GOD! Its really frustrating sometimes and i usually stay up waiting for Mr. Husband.. we skype for a while before we go to bed. Im hoping this sleep theraphy calms me down and helps me get some restful sleep. Its much needed now i guess.

BonBliss Mango Papaya Solid Body Scrub

They look so cute! I got these in the mail 2 weeks ago. Check out my post on my weekly mail to find out what other goodies i received. I finally got time to try out one of them. All the flavours sound interesting but as a fan of fruity scents.. i chose to try Mango Papaya the 1st!

Texture and How to use:

Its a typical salt and sugar scrub! Enriched with loads of nourishing oils.. its such a treat to my skin. It comes in this easy one time use packaging for all those who hate trying to reach a tub or jar and pull out the product. Just crumble the scrub onto your hands and gently rub on the skin. It provides gentle exfoliation and adds a layer of moisture to the skin.

Smell:

SMELLS YUM! I loved the smell of mangoes and papaya.. the mango seems to dominate and there is a slight scent of papaya in there. My bathroom smelt so good for 2 days after using this.. i smelt good the whole day! Loved it so much!

The Goodness and the Not so Goodness:

The good stuff is that its all natural and smells really good. You can use it if you have dry skin or if you want to give your skin a super treat! I would like to use this maybe twice a month.. and give myself a full exfoliation + moisturization treatment. :-)

The bad stuff is that some people may find this scrub a little too greasy for them. So if you dont like too much of oil or moisture.. you can avoid using this during the summers and pick it up during the winter. IT IS AN IDEAL SCRUB FOR THE HARSH COLD WINTERS WHEN YOUR SKIN NEEDS THAT EXTRA LAYER OF MOISTURE. 

 

 

Will i recommend?

Yes a definite must have in your spa list. Keep a jar of these sweets in your bathroom! It will look so cute and work well too! In case you're wondering.. AND i know you are. Is a single one enough for your whole body? YES! Since im petite.. i felt it was a little too much product for one single use.

Liz Earle Botanical Shine Conditioner (For Oily Hair)

Aaahhhhhh im writing a review on a hair product!!!!!! Im surprised as ever actually. I always have this love hate relationship with all my hair products so i really dont know how to review them sometimes. This is a product i really liked so i thought i would let you all know :-)

I have oily hair so its really difficult to find the right conditioner.. the market is flooded with conditioners for oily hair but nothing really seems to work that well for me. I started using this conditioner 5 months back! And im still using it!!!!! Haha.. looks like i found something i will use for a really long time :-)

First of all those who have oily hair dont you worry.. this conditioner doesnt make your hair feel heavy or let your hair turn oily and feel dirty within a day or two. You can skip shampoo for 2 days and you will still notice your hair looks clean as ever. I wouldn't say im a great fan of the smell though.. it has a really natural product kinda smell LOL. Difficult to explain. Im a fan of fruity scents so this isnt exactly fruity. too bad :-( But the smell doesnt bother me at all because once its washed off my hair.. i get a really fresh smell on my hair and thats awesome. Packed with natural goodness.. i never have to worry about chemicals getting onto my head which is such a relief. My hair feels silky soft which i love!!!!! What more can i ask for?

Will i recommend?

YES! A definite must try for all those who complain that their conditioner doesnt work for them :-)

Its been really long since i did a review on a fragrance, i got so many messages asking me when my next fragrance review will be. Thanks for the messages ladies. Here we are!

 Soivohle Studio Collection [Eau de toilette]

I got samples of the 3 latest fragrances from the Soivohle Studio Collection

This sample set contains 3 samples of the Eau de toilette sprays-

•  ROSA SUR REUSE
•  LILAS ET NARCISSUS
•  WILD GINGER CHAI

 

Cute arent they?! Well the full sized fragrance is a 60ml spray type bottle. 

I usually do my perfume reviews individually but when i tried these fragrances.. i feel as though they all have a link between each other. Each of these scents mean different things and are for different occasions and different moods of a person. Its really amazing how people understand fragrances and relate to them. So these are my thoughts.

ROSA SUR REUSE 

   

'Roses with an Oriental disposition are usually best left to cold winter days. We have taken the concept of  intense Roses and Tuberose and paired them with a bright Black Raspberry accord, Cinnamon and Cloves a hint of Violet and a light Oriental base. The intention was to create a Rose for all seasons'
 

Fragrance Type: Floral/Oriental

This is the most heavy scent out of the 3. Its a beautiful mix of floral scents and has this deep scent of roses in it. You dont catch them as soon as you smell it but there is a strong sense of roses that you will notice when you learn to really understand this blend.

Its a romantic rosy fragrance.. a little heavy but not overpowering. Very ladylike.. and best used for special occasions or at night. Adds a bit of romance to your nights! 

  

LILAS ET NARCISSUS 

'Nothing says spring quite like lilacs and narcissus. Here we have chosen  to pair a White Alba Lilac accord with a sultry Narcissus, a splash of wild strawberries and accompanying floral notes of Jasmine, Violet and fragrant Orchids. A true Floral that holds it's shape well into the dry down'
 

Fragrance Type: Floral

A beautiful day time fragrance.. perfect during summer or spring. Makes you think of flower gardens and fresh air. Its a little on the heavy side but doesnt wear you down.

WILD GINGER CHAI    

The classic Chai spice of cinnamon, cardamom and cloves shares the spotlight here with a dominant opening  of warm smoky ginger, additional notes include,  sweet honey,  caramel  and a hint of hazelnut.
 

Fragrance Type: Spice/Gourmand

I have to admit that this is my MOST favorite scent out of the 3! Its a really interesting blend of spices. I know you might think its alot of spices but its not a really spicy scent. Has a spicy side to it BUT not too spicy. Its an everyday scent! Maybe because i am girl who grew up around loads of spices and warm scents.. i think this fragrance really feels like home. Something that would suit me well. It mixes really well with my body and makes me feel as though i smell really nice but doesnt shout out as if i got perfume on. Its a light scent.. perfect for the summer.. during the evenings.. its beautiful. 

Will I Recommend?

All 3 perfumes appeal to different moods and seasons! Its a really interesting choice of perfumes and you should definitely try them out and im sure you will fall in love with atleast one of them!
