Oriflame Discover Phuket Exotic Paradise Body Scrub

Hey Ladies! Its review day today and im going to review a cute lime green coloured body scrub! :-D

Oriflame Discover Phuket Exotic Paradise Body Scrub:

So looks interesting yea? :-D

Doesnt look lime green in my pictures.. maybe my camera doesnt catch colours that well :P

Now the factor that may attract people like me towards this product are the words 'Exotic' and 'Paradise' hehe.. i know. And the colour of this tube! its beautiful! Its a very fresh looking package!

My thoughts on this product:

The name of this product gives you this really fruity fresh feeling! And so does its smell!! It has a nice lemony citrusy smell! I love the smell of lemon.. it smells soo fresh and clean! :-D

The scrub is light yellowish in colour with green exfoliating beads in them.. and some crystals that look like sugar particles but its not so visible unless you start scrubbing. I use a loofah with this scrub.. you can pour a little (a little is good enough) and start scrubbing. Then you realise that the green beads do nothing really.. maybe its just there for the scrub to look interesting LOL. But the sugar particles work a little and give you a slight exfoliating feeling.. and within mins the sugar particles melt away and suddenly this scrub becomes a body wash!!!!!! hehe.. basically it has VERY mild exfoliating effects and is more like a exfoliating body wash with a good lather. If you are planning to use this product as your main body scrub.. its a bad idea as its not good enough for a good 'once a week' body scrub. Its more suitable to be used 2 to 3 times a week as an exfoliating body wash that cleans skin and also exfoliates it slightly.

After you step out of the shower you feel fresh and clean, it cleans skin well. But the smell of lemon isnt there anymore.. :( Skin feels clean but i cant say it keeps skin soft and smooth.. i dont see any difference in my skin. But it doesnt dry skin which is an advantage.. i have normal skin.. so its advisable to moisturise skin well after using this product.

Overall i feel its an OK product that could be renamed as an exfoliating body wash to be more accurate.

Will i repurchase it?

No.. it was a pleasure trying it out though! I would try something new next time!

Have you used this product? What are your thoughts?

Maybelline Volum' Express Hyper Curl Cat Eyes Mascara

Hey Ladies! Im here with another mascara review!! i really couldnt wait to share this review with you coz i want to know your views on it as well! So there you go!

Looks pretty yea? :-D

What i think about this product:

This mascara promises to give a good curl and volume for your lashes! Does it keep its promises?

 YES it sure does!

If you have a good look at the mascara wand.. you would see that it has a comb. This is the best i can zoom, hope you can see clearly.

Reasons to love this product:
  • It gives a super curl for my lashes! Makes my eyes look like doll eyes! Really.. i have very long lashes by nature so this product gives a real cute curl and makes my eyes look like doll eyes :P
  • I dont have to use an eyelash curler
  • Gives volume
  • Gives length
  • Stays on for more than 12 hours

So if you are a fan of eyes like these then go run get yourself this mascara! :P

Warning:
  • If you dont like that dramatic effect then this isnt the mascara for you
  • My views are based on my eyes! And i have long thick lashes by nature so the extend to which you get the curl effect and the volume may differ according to the length and volume of your eyes lashes
  • Clean the comb brush with a tissue before using to avoid clumpiness
  • Do NOT give too many coats to your lashes as it makes your lashes look clumsy ( i was so excited i tried too many coats and ended up looking 'Surprised')
  • Its a waterproof mascara so its important to have a good eye makeup remover since baby oil or olive oil wouldnt really do the job.

My Final Verdict:

I totally love this mascara!

Have you used this? Do you love it as well?

The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask

You wake up in the morning and see your face in the mirror.. OH MY GOD! Whats that ugly red thing? oh.. a pimple! Now what do i do???? Will it go away?! :(

For days like this.. you would need something like this to calm you down :P Ok i just heard you! so im going to stop. Enough with the over the top 'TV Commercial Tone'. Hehe..

Hey Ladies! Today my review would be on a face mask.

You must have seen this in my summer besties!

So this is what the mask looks like:

Its a thick green paste like a green colored cold cream. The consistency of the mask is so thick that it doesnt spill even if you hold the tub open upside down. The smell i would say is very mild, its almost odourless.. it has a slight medicine smell. If you have used the other products in the tea tree range you would know what im talking about.

Ingredients:
Water, Kaolin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Myristyl Myristate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Propanediol, Alcohol Denat., Caprylyl Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Cyclohexasiloxane, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Menthol, Limonene, Leptospermum Petersonii (Lemon Tea Tree) Oil, t-Butyl Alcohol, Denatonium Benzoate, Tocopherol, Chromium Hydroxide Green, Iron Oxides.

Instructions:
Smooth a thin layer onto pat-dried skin, clean face and neck with your fingertips. Leave for 5 to 10 minutes (mask will not dry). Then rinse off with clean water and pat skin dry. Use once or twice per week, after cleansing.

My thoughts on this product-
This product is specially formulated for blemished skin. I dont have blemished skin and i dont get many pimples BUT i use this product on days when i do get a pimple or 2. I apply a very thin layer of this mask and let it stay for about 10 mins. It doesnt dry on the skin so once my 10 mins is gone i wash my face with cold water and pat it dry.

When you apply it.. your skin feels really cool and nice. The menthol in this mask gives you that relaxing feeling and it stings a little if its applied on sensitive areas like the sides of my nose.. but it doesnt do any harm so i apply it all over my face except my eye area.

Once washed your face looks soo fresh and clean! and you are all set for the day! Some people may feel that their skin is slightly oily after using this mask.. it doesnt make the skin oily but it sometimes feels so. So i would advise you to use this mask at night.

You would be able to feel your pimples slightly dried with a single use of this mask and it helps clean up all your pimples and improve skin if its used as per advised i.e once or twice a week.

Will i recommend it?

Yes :-D

So what do you think of my review? Have you used this product? Tell me your reviews!

THE SCHOOL FOR HUSBANDS By Wendy Holden- Book Review

Dear Ladies! how are you all? Today i thought of doing a book review :-D I know many of you love reading so i thought of reviewing the books i read so we can share our views! Fun yea?!

So the book i will be reviewing today-

THE SCHOOL FOR HUSBANDS by Wendy Holden

Sounds really exciting doesnt it? BUT never judge a book by its pretty cover :P

My Reading Experience:

When i saw this book in a store i was really excited to read it! The title sounded so exciting.. The School For Husbands..

'Sophie's marriage was perfect, but now it's all gone wrong. Mark works late; she's left with the baby, domestic drudgery, her own career to keep on the go and the growing feeling that Mark is having an affair. When he fails to come home one night it's the last straw. Sophie wants a divorce. But Mark doesn't. He hasn't been unfaithful, just thoughtless. Desperate not to lose his family, he signs up to the 'School for Husbands'; which transforms hopeless spouses into perfect marriage partners. But will its intensive and unusual tuition be enough to get him back with Sophie? Especially now an eligible millionaire is after her...'

I got this book right away and started reading it! I usually take just a day or two to read a good book.. sometimes just half a day if i really cant put it down.. but this book.. i was reading it for days and days but i still couldnt finish it. :-D

First of all, the title is totally wasted on this book. The whole 'School for husbands' concept is totally lost! Though there really was a school for husbands in the story i dont see the character learning anything interesting or the school offering the readers anything new or fun to read about!

Reasons to love this book:
  • Nice title

Reasons to NOT love this book:

  • A very predictable story
  • The book has nothing new or different to offer
  • No plots or twists or turns
  • Characters are very boring
  • Ending is pretty much obvious

So have you read this book? Tell me your reviews!

Play For Her Givenchy (Women)

Hey Ladies! Today im going to do a perfume review :-D

Play For Her Givenchy

So what do you think it looks like? Its supposed to look like an MP3 Player! Does it look like one? Nahh.. not really :P but it looks rather different and i think that is one of the reasons why people got attracted to this perfume initially.

Fragrance notes:
Top notes include pink peppercorn and orange blossom, followed by the heart of amyris wood, Tiare flower and orchid, wrapped with the base of sandalwood, patchouli, Tonka bean and benzoin.

My views on this perfume:

The appearance of this perfume isnt a real success as far as im concerned.. its not unique looking or interesting. Its different but not exactly pretty. The fragrance is very soft, mild and ideal for day time wear. If you're looking for a strong perfume that would turn heads- NO. this isnt the perfume for you. It has a very pleasant smell.. lasts quite sometime on skin and lasts much longer on your clothes. Its a simple 'nothing so special' fragrance that can be used for those who like mild perfumes.

Will i recommend it?

Yes! Its a beautiful fragrance and is ideal for daily use.

Have you used this perfume?
Tell me your reviews!

Maybelline XXL Curl Power Mascara

Hey everyone! Its been a while since i had done a product review so thought of reviewing the mascara that i am using at the moment.

Maybelline XXL Curl Power (In VERY Black):

This is what the Maybelline website says about this product:

24HR BOLD VOLUME
BUILDS BOLD VOLUME AND WEARS FOR 24 HOURS
EXTREME HOLD: 12-hour mascara

• PowerCurve brush dramatically curls and extends lashes 45º from root to tip with 12 hours of hold
• Step 1: Curls to a 45° angle
• Step 2: Provides 12-hour hold
• Contact lens safe, ophthalmologist-tested
• Washable, also available in Waterproof

FOR BEST RESULTS:

Sweep the curling basecoat from root to tip of lashes to lengthen and curl. Before the basecoat dries, follow with the topcoat to lock on intense color and maintain a 12-hour hold on the curl. Removes easily with soap and water or Expert Eyes® 100% Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover.

What i think about this product:

This is my favorite mascara at the moment! It has a primer that can be applied to make your lashes look long and give it a little curl and then apply the top coat to finish the look.

Reasons to love it-

  • Has a primer along with the mascara which helps make eyelashes look little longer and thicker, most suitable for people who have long lashes
  • Stays a long time without coming down
  • Easy to wash off with some water and some olive oil or makeup remover
  • Doesnt cause any kind of redness or irritation to the eyes
  • No clumping of lashes
  • Affordable

Reasons to not love it-
  • Honestly it doesnt give that much of a curl effect! i dont see any big difference to my lashes.. maybe just a very slight curl so you still need your eyelash curler.

Will i repurchase?
Yes!

Have you used this product?
What are your views?

STRETCH MARKS ALERT!!!

Hey ladies! how you doing? im good.. just a little confused :P You all must be knowing im pregnant :-D yes i am! its going to be 7 months in like 2 weeks so i was thinking.. God! is it time for some stretch marks? Yes maybe it is..or maybe not.. i would never know until one fine day i wake up to see some! so SCARY.

Actually it was on my mind from the time i got pregnant.. i did alot of research online and found out that nothing can really stop them.. if you are going to get it, you ARE. But i think maybe taking a little care might reduce the damage or help fade them soon.

So i had formulated a routine that i follow for the past 2 months or so and these are the products i use:
Extra virgin olive oil with vitamin e

Todlo stretch marks oil ( i found this in a baby shop in my hospital)
Palmers coco butter massage cream for stretch marks

So what i do is apply oil in the mornings after a shower (some days olive oil and some days todlo oil) and use the massage cream at night. This was going ok for awhile now and THEN came Bio Oil!!

My uncle sent me a little bottle of bio oil saying he heard it was very good for stretch marks! hehe.. now its just too confusing. Honestly its too early for me to know or say what works best.. so when bio oil came along.. its just making my routine too complicated.

So need some advice from you ladies! What did you do or do you do for stretch marks? do you think my little routine is good enough? is bio oil actually good? or would you suggest anything else that you have used and loved?

i want suggestions suggestions! :-D so please let me know! i will post the reviews on the above products few months later when i find out if it worked out for me or not.

Have a Pink Day!
